Katherine Cooper is a Certified Public Accountant who was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from California State University, Northridge and has been working as an accomplished accountant for over 20 years. Recently, she opened her own accounting practice right here in Santa Clarita. She moved to Santa Clarita over 25 years ago, and has raised two wonderful children in the SCV. Katherine has been very involved in leading elementary aged children. Her son attended Old Orchard Elementary. Katherine was involved with the PTA there, chairing the Women's History Week. Her daughter attended Highlands Elementary in the Saugus Union School District, where Katherine was involved in the Parent Faculty Organization. When her daughter was in sixth grade, she headed the Highlands carnival committee and got the sixth graders involved, teaching them organization and team work skills while putting on an amazing carnival. Katherine was also a Girl Scout leader for many years, and represented the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles Service Unit as a delegate at the national Girl Scout Convention in Houston, Texas in 2014. Katherine's passion for learning and joy in working with and for children makes her an excellent candidate for school board.
